SANTA CLARA UNIVERSITY MEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Welcome to the home of Santa Clara University Mens Club Volleyball!
The SCU Mens Volleyball Team competes in the Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League, which consists of eight other universities, including Cal, Stanford, UC Davis, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and the 2008 national champion Fresno State. Along with our league play, our team competes in three to four nationally recognized tournaments, including the Las Vegas Open at UNLV, Far Westerns at UC Davis, and the National Collegiate Volleyball Federations National Championship Tournament, which was in Houston, Texas this past Spring. Our team placed fifth in Division I at the 2008 NIRSA National Championship Tournament in Dallas, Texas. With the strength of our program, our league play, and tournament competition, we have a lot of national exposure and play teams from all over the nation.
Not only is our team a major force in collegiate volleyball, but it is also a popular organization on the upbeat campus of Santa Clara University (SCU). Our team commits itself every year to not only playing volleyball at a top collegiate level, but also to various fundraising activities and events aimed at advancing the cause of the SCU community and promoting the team.
The team is partially funded by the school, the rest of which comes from member dues, donations, and fundraising. If you would like to support our team and contribute, please see our Support page.
Tryouts for the team are held in late September/early October. Prospective players attending Santa Clara University should attend open gyms which will take palce prior to tryouts. Offical practices are held following tryouts through the beginning of spring, while the season begins in January and will run through early April.

The Santa Clara University Mens Volleyball Team is partially funded by Santa Clara University's Club Sports Program. However, the majority of our funding comes from member dues, generous donations from friends and family members, sponsorships, and fundraising opportunities.
The men that make up this team are sincerely thankful for the support of our friends and family. Any donation is greatly appreciated and put to good use in order to fund uniforms and gear, tournament fees, traveling expenses and more, and give us the ability to compete against other teams across the nation. Much of our past and continued success can be attributed to the support of donations.
